Free School Supplies for the Kids

This saturday night at Lonesome Pine Raceway is Alpha Natural Resources/Back to School Night at the Pine. Come out and support the coal industry and bring the kids for free school supplies. Double Points will be given in all divisions.

Huddle House Night at the Pine on August 28 was packed with lots of exciting racing action

as it hosted 8 different divisions of racing.

Some of the area Pastors showed the congergation a new way to stand on their feet as they took

to the track for the Faster Pastor race driving Pure 4 cars. Taking the checkers was Lance Pratt driving the #16,

Mark Haskell was in the #27 and rounding out the top three was Steve Kinder in the #3.

One of the most exciting races of the night was the weekly Pure 4 Division with Bill Livesay #06 winning the race

with James "Moonshine" Mills close behind in second, Justin Penley #24 finished third.

The Mod 4 class has really shown some action for first place all season. Cousins and team mates Brad Ball #17

and Freddie Taylor, Jr #16 have kept the fans reeled in all summer with their door handle to door handle action.

Brad took the checkers with Taylor finishing in second and Danny O'Quinn rounding out the top three.

The IBEW Chargers were 13 cars strong this week. Brad Housewright visited victory lane for the 8th time this

season with Jeff Woodward #94 finishing in second and long time veteran #48 Paul Shull in third.

Street Stock driver Chris Tunnell #6 took home the trophy saturday night making it his 86th career win. Paul

Shull #22 finished second and Jared Bruner #8 finished third.

The Diamond Lawn Service Legends Division was action packed with an 11 car field. Taylor Coffman #30

lead the way to take the checkered flag with Hayden Woods #87 in second and Dace Johnson #11 third.

Blake Jones took his #80 Late Model to victory lane with Brian Blevins #40 coming in second and Abingdon,

VA driver Caleb Roark #7 rounding out the top three.

The Renegade didvsion is becoming a very popular class that is always packed with excitement.Rusty Ratliff

#9 took his Bill Elliott look alike Ford Thunderbird to victory lane. Scotty Hurley #14 captured second and

Mark Stiltner #19 was third.

ATTENTION ALL LPR DRIVERS

Starting Tuesday September 7th we will be meeting with each division to discuss the rules for 2011.We will hold meetings for one division only per week.

 

These meetings are for the driver ONLY of each division.

Sept 7th- Street Stock Division

 LPR VIP Tower

arrive between 6:30 to 7 pm.

Refreshments will be served.

Next Meeting will be Sept 14th

for the Pure 4 Division.

Will post others before set date.

LPR is very excited to be working with BMS and Wayne Estes on the Charger Division as it will race on September 11, 2010. Check back as more details will be posted as they become available.

LPR now has seats available in the Announcers tower.
