There will be a Radio Remote with FM 94 held in Claypool Hill, Virginia on Friday, May 25th in promotion of this race! Come out and celebrate with LPR!

Due to the rain interrupting our previous race, our fourth race of the Roarin' Forty season will be an extra-large racing extravaganza beginning at 7 PM on May 26th! This race is going to be full of suprises and special events:
TWIN LIMITED LATE MODEL RACES, FLAG POLE RACE, AND POWERDERPUFF! Gates open at 4PM with qualifying beginning at 5PM! Concessions will be operated by Ma and Pa's Restaurant of Castlewood, Virginia.


Ticket Prices : $10 for Adults, Children 12-under are FREE, Senior Citizens are $8, and $25 for VIP Tower Tickets (limited quantity available)!

Don't forget the CLARK SIGNS GIVEAWAY every race! There will be $5 prizes for 5 of the children (12-under) in attendance each race!

With our first race and season opener finished, we at Lonesome Pine Raceway are looking forward to our following race this Saturday, April 14, sponsored by Reno's Roadhouse! Information detailing this race are listed above this announcement and can also be obtained through e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, or calling our office.

Included now on our website is the Score Board menu option which contains the results of each class from the season races! In addition, as the season progresses, there will be a "Meet the Drivers" page with profiles for each of the drivers included on that page.

Our tentative 2012 schedule has now been updated with the full racing schedule and most of our special events for our Roarin' Forty Season!

Remember, this schedule is still in progress as we have not fully scheduled our season sponsors or released information about all of our events. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us!

UPDATE!!! This year's LONESOME PINE BIKE FEST will be August 9-11! More information to come!

TWO PRACTICES CANCELLED FOR MARCH!

Due to scheduling conflicts, Lonesome Pine Raceway will be cancelling its first two practices of the season -- the March 10th and March 17th practices. However, as reported earlier, Lonesome Pine will be represented at two important events in Tennessee this March in affiliation with the NASCAR Food City 500 race at Bristol Motor Speedway!

On March 15, LPR will be at the event taking place at the NASCAR event in Knoxville, TN. On Friday, March 16, Bristol, TN/VA for the 2012 Food City Family Race Night! We WILL have our first, formal practice on March 31 from 11 AM to 5 PM and another following our Food City Family Night on April 6 in Coeburn, VA from 7 until 9 PM. Our first race of the 2012 season begins on April 7.

A local champion was in the national spotlight after winning his first national truck race at Daytona International Speedway. John King, Jr. of Kingsport, Tennessee, the driver of the Red Horse Racing's #7 truck, was the champion of the NextEra Energy Resources 250, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on February 23rd. We at Lonesome Pine Raceway cannot begin to express our excitement at this monumental win and will continue to support John King Racing!
